When I start this project with my students, we discuss the idea of being a professional athlete. I tell my students that they need to declare a major in college in order to play a sport. They need to have a backup plan in case they get injured and can't play a sport. I have my students hand in their PowerPoint/Google Slides after each lesson is completed. They continue on the same PowerPoint/Google Slides. After The first 3 lessons are completed, I show the students their grading sheet because they need to have the correct monthly income to continue onto house hunting and car shopping. This is a great project to incorporate Math skills and Language Arts into the technology curriculum. I do this with my 7th grade starting in January because they need to pick high schools in the beginning of 8th grade. Print out the Grading Rubric and grade your students at each lesson:
